Tour Overview :

This 8-day tour from Casablanca to Marrakech, or as a round trip back to Casablanca, offers an unforgettable Moroccan desert adventure. You will explore the country’s highlights, including the Imperial cities of Fes and Marrakech, the well-preserved Roman site of Volubilis, and the vast Sahara Desert.

Along the way, you will encounter Barbary monkeys in the cedar forests, visit Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and share tea with Berber nomads in the desert. Experience a camel trek across the sand dunes and spend a night in a desert camp under the stars.

The journey also includes the stunning High Atlas Mountains, traditional Berber villages, ancient kasbahs, dramatic gorges, lush palm groves, and the vibrant medina of Marrakech, as well as the scenic landscapes of the Middle Atlas.

Tour Plan :

Day 1 Casablanca » Rabat » Meknes » Fes

We will pick you up from the airport or your accommodation in Casablanca to begin the 8-day tour. Our first stop is the Hassan II Mosque, followed by a visit to Rabat to see the Hassan Tower. After exploring these highlights, we will continue to Fes for dinner and an overnight stay in a traditional riad.

 

Day 2 Fes Sightseeing tour with a local guide

After breakfast, we will meet a local guide to explore the Medina, the historic heart of the city. During this guided tour, you will visit key sites including the Jewish quarter, the Royal Palace, the bustling souks, and the traditional Tanneries.

Day 3 Fes » Azrou » Medilt » Ziz Valley » Merzouga Desert

On the next day of our 8-day desert tour from Casablanca, we depart at 8:30 am and travel through Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and the cedar forests of Azrou, where you can observe wild monkeys in their natural habitat.

We then continue through the scenic Ziz Valley and Erfoud, a town famous for its fossilized marble, before passing through Rissani, a bustling trading center. Our journey concludes with arrival in the Sahara Desert at Merzouga.

Day 4 Tour around Erg Chebbi Dunes & Visit a Nomad family 

Today, we will explore the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, home to nomadic communities. Our day begins with a visit to the seasonal Merzouga lake and a trip to Khamlia to experience traditional Gnawa music.

Next, we’ll explore abandoned mines and a nearby palm oasis. After enjoying a local lunch, we will return to the guesthouse and embark on a camel ride through the sand dunes, taking in the beauty of the desert landscape.

Day 5 Merzouga » Rissani souk » Erfoud » Todra Gorges » Dades Valley

After enjoying the sunrise and capturing stunning photos, we return to the hotel for breakfast and a shower. Our journey then continues toward Dades Valley, passing through Erfoud, known for its marble fossils, and Jorf, famous for its irrigation systems. Next, we visit the Todra Gorges, where towering canyons create a dramatic passage toward the Dades Valley.

Day 6 Dades » Skoura Oasis » Kasbah Taourirt » Ouarzazate » Marrakech

After breakfast, we will depart for Ouarzazate, traveling through traditional Berber villages made of mud and passing through Skoura, known for its lush palm groves.

In Ouarzazate, often called Africa’s Hollywood, we will visit the historic Taourirt Kasbah and explore the Atlas Studios in the city center. From there, we continue toward Marrakech, stopping at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou. This iconic kasbah has been featured in films such as “Lawrence of Arabia,” “Gladiator,” and the series “Game of Thrones.”

Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi N-Tichka pass, before arriving in Marrakech, where you will be dropped off at your accommodation.

Day 7 Marrakech Sightseeing tour with a local guide

Starting at 9:00 AM, the day will focus on exploring the Medina, the historic part of the city.

This guided tour includes visits to key attractions such as Jemaa el Fna square, El Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, Menara, and Majorelle Garden.

Day 8 Marrakech to Airport

Our 8-day tour from Casablanca to Marrakech concludes with a transfer to the airport.
