1st Day : Arrival to Casablanca – Visit The Largest City Of Morocco
On the first day of your 14-day tour in Morocco, you will be greeted upon arrival at the airport or picked up directly from your accommodation in Casablanca, the country’s largest city and economic center. The tour begins with a visit to the impressive Hassan II Mosque, beautifully located on a headland overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. As the largest mosque in Morocco, it is renowned for its detailed architecture and stunning coastal setting, making it one of the city’s most remarkable landmarks.
2nd Day : Casablanca – Rabat the capital – Assilah
After breakfast, we drive along the Atlantic coast to Rabat, one of Morocco’s imperial cities and the present-day capital. Upon arrival, we explore the city’s main highlights, including the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Oudayas. You will then have free time for lunch.
In the afternoon, we continue north to Asilah, a charming seaside town known for its artistic atmosphere and whitewashed streets. Overnight stay in a traditional riad.
3rd Day : Assilah – Tangier – The Rif mountains – Chefchaouen
fter breakfast, we leave Asilah and drive along the coast to Tangier, often called the bride of the north. Located in the far northwest of Morocco, Tangier sits where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean at the Strait of Gibraltar, near Cape Spartel.
We begin by exploring the city and visiting the Hercules Cave, followed by a stop at Cape Spartel. After some free time for lunch, we continue our journey inland toward Chefchaouen. Along the way, we pass through Tetouan and the scenic Rif Mountains, with several stops for panoramic views.Overnight stay in a riad in Chefchaouen.
4th day : Sightseeing Chefchaouen the blue city
After breakfast, we set out to explore Chefchaouen, the Blue City, also known as Achaoun, meaning “horns” in Berber. Nestled in the Rif Mountains of northern Morocco, the town is renowned for its white- and blue-painted buildings and winding alleys.
We begin with a leisurely walk through the charming old medina, where you will discover beautiful blue doors and whitewashed walls at every turn. Free time is provided for lunch.
In the afternoon, you may choose to hike up to the Spanish Mosque, located on a hill overlooking the town, offering a spectacular panoramic view of the entire blue city. Return to your hotel later in the day. Overnight stay in the same riad.
5th Day : Chefchaouen- the Roman ruins of Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
After breakfast, enjoy some free time to stroll through the picturesque blue alleyways of Chefchaouen. We then depart for the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a remarkably well-preserved UNESCO World Heritage Site. The site is famous for its stunning mosaics, impressive pillars, and historic archways, offering a fascinating glimpse into Roman history.
After exploring the ruins, we drive about 30 km to Meknes, the Ismaili capital and one of Morocco’s imperial cities. Here, we visit Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the royal stables, the granaries, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. In the late afternoon, we continue to Fes. Overnight stay in a riad.
6th Day : Sightseeing Fes with a Local Guide
After breakfast, we will pick you up from your riad in Fes to begin a full-day exploration of one of Morocco’s most iconic imperial cities, known as the cultural and spiritual heart of the country.
The day starts with a driving tour. Our first stop is the impressive Royal Palace gate, followed by a visit to the Mellah, the historic Jewish quarter. We then continue to Borj Sud, where you can enjoy panoramic views overlooking the ancient medina. The last stop of this part of the tour is the Ceramic Village and School, where you can observe traditional pottery and craftsmanship.
Next, we continue with a walking tour inside the medieval medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved historic cities in the Arab world. With a local guide, you will explore key landmarks such as the Al Attarine Madrasa, the University and Mosque of Al Quaraouiyine, considered the oldest existing university in the world, and the famous Chouara Tanneries, where leather is still processed using traditional methods.
At the end of the day, you will be transferred back to your riad to rest and relax.
7th Day : Fes – Ifrane – Cedars forest- Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga Sahara
After breakfast, we drive south through Imouzzer toward Ifrane, a town known for its cool climate, winter snow, and alpine-style architecture, which has earned it the nickname “the Switzerland of Morocco.” We then continue to the cedar forest, home to Barbary macaques, where you can enjoy a walk among the trees and observe the monkeys in their natural habitat.
Later, we head to Midelt for free time and lunch. Afterward, the journey continues toward Merzouga via the Tizi-n-Tilghmt Pass, following the scenic Ziz Valley, with several stops along the way to admire panoramic views.
In the afternoon, we arrive in the Sahara Desert of Merzouga. Here, you will switch to camels and ride across the golden dunes. A stop will be made atop a high dune to enjoy a spectacular sunset before continuing to the desert camp. The camp blends traditional nomadic tents with modern comfort. In the evening, enjoy dinner and Berber drum music around the campfire beneath a vast, star-filled sky. Overnight stay in the camp.
8th day : Explore Merzouga region – Nomads – Khamlia (Gnaoua village) – Merzouga lake – Erg Chebbi – Palm Grove
Waking up early is highly recommended to admire the beautiful sunrise in the heart of the desert. Afterward, enjoy free time for breakfast before returning to Merzouga by camel or by a 4×4 vehicle, where your driver will be waiting.
The eighth day of your 14-day grand Morocco tour is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga region. This area offers a wide variety of remarkable landscapes, including sand dunes, a seasonal wild lake, old mines, fossil sites, and lush oases, making it ideal for outdoor activities and discovery.
We begin with an off-road drive from Merzouga to visit an ancient eyeliner mine. Next, we visit a nomadic family in their handmade woven tent, where you will learn about their way of life while enjoying a cup of traditional Berber tea.
Our journey continues to the village of Khamlia, where you will experience authentic Gnawa music and dance performances. The village is inhabited by people whose ancestors came from sub-Saharan countries such as Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Free time is provided for lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, we take a walk through a palm grove, then drive a few kilometers to visit the wild lake of Merzouga, also known as Flamingo Lake. In the late afternoon, we return to Merzouga for dinner and an overnight stay in a riad.
9th Day : Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
After breakfast, we depart the desert and head to Rissani, the former capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains an important trading hub in the region, with a lively souk that comes alive on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. You will have time to stroll through the market and experience the local atmosphere.
We then continue to Erfoud, where we visit a workshop specializing in fossilized marble. Afterward, we drive through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad on our way to the Todra Gorges. Over time, the Todra River has carved an impressive canyon with high red cliff walls through the mountains. The gorges are a popular destination for rock climbers and nature lovers. You are free to walk through the canyon and enjoy the stunning scenery. Lunch will be at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we continue toward the Dades Valley via Boumalne Dades. Along the way, we stop to see the famous monkey fingers rock formations and pause at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the Dades Valley. The day ends with dinner and an overnight stay in a hotel.
10th day : Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Palm Groves of Skoura – Ouarzazate Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
After breakfast, we continue our journey to Kalaa Magouna to explore the Rose Valley. Every May, the locals celebrate the Rose Festival, offering a variety of rose products, including perfumes, rose water, oils, and cosmetics.
Next, we drive through the palm groves of Skoura before arriving in Ouarzazate, where we visit the film studios that have hosted several famous movies.
From there, we head to the renowned Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Kasbah has served as a filming location for many movies such as Gladiator, Alexander, and The Mummy, as well as the TV series Game of Thrones.
After exploring Ait Ben Haddou, we continue to Marrakech, traveling through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we will stop for lunch and take photos at scenic viewpoints. The day concludes with an overnight stay in a riad in Marrakech.
11th Day : Guided Tour sightseeing Marrakesh
After breakfast, we will explore the main highlights of Marrakech with a local guide. As one of Morocco’s historic imperial cities, Marrakech is full of culture and architectural charm. The tour includes a visit to Bahia Palace, a 19th-century masterpiece, followed by Ben Youssef Madrasa, a former Islamic school that showcases traditional Moroccan design.
You will also wander through the lively Medina and its bustling souks, enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Jamaa El Fna Square, and admire the Koutoubia Mosque from the outside, the largest mosque in the city.
After free time for lunch, the afternoon continues with a visit to the Majorelle Garden (online pre-booking required), followed by a drive through Gueliz, the modern district of Marrakech, before returning to your riad for the evening.
12th Day : Marrakech – Essaouira
After breakfast, we depart for Essaouira, driving west along the coast. Along the way, we’ll stop to see the argan tree plantations and local cooperatives, and if lucky, spot goats climbing the trees.
Upon arrival in Essaouira, formerly known as Mogador, you can explore this historic coastal town, famous for its fresh seafood, scenic beach, and surfing opportunities. Enjoy free time to visit the fishing port, the old city walls with cannons, and the charming Medina.
Finally, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay in Essaouira.
13th Day : Essaouira – Marrakech
Today, you have the option to spend more time exploring Essaouira at your own pace or start the journey back to Marrakech, taking in the beautiful coastal and countryside scenery along the way. Once you arrive in Marrakech, check into your accommodation and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure — relax, wander through the souks, or unwind at a rooftop café.
14th Day : Marrakesh or Casablanca Airports
On the last day, you will be transferred to Marrakech Airport according to your flight schedule. Alternatively, the tour can also conclude in Casablanca if you prefer.
