Tour Plan :

Day 1 : Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga desert

Today, your driver from Sahara Camel Trips will pick you up at 9:00 a.m. from your hotel in Errachidia to begin your 3-day journey from Errachidia to Marrakech. Along the way, you’ll stop for a panoramic view of the stunning Ziz Valley, Morocco’s second-longest and one of its most beautiful valleys.

The drive continues through Aoufous and Erfoud, a town famous for its fossils and annual date festival. If you wish, you can visit a local workshop to see traditional fossil craftsmanship. Next, you’ll reach the mesmerizing dunes of Erg Chebbi, also known as the Merzouga Dunes.

Upon arrival at the hotel, prepare for a camel trek of approximately 1.5 hours to enjoy the sunset. You can also try sandboarding, take photos, and soak in the breathtaking desert views. As the sun sets, your camel ride continues to the desert camp, where you’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea, enjoy a delicious dinner, listen to traditional Berber drumming, and marvel at a sky full of stars. Overnight stay at the desert camp.

Day 2 : Merzouga – Rissani Market – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

Today, being in the desert, it’s worth waking up early to witness the stunning sunrise near your camp. After enjoying these magical moments, you’ll have breakfast and take a shower at the camp. Then, you can either ride the camels back or transfer by 4×4 to the original starting point, where your driver will be waiting.

Your 3-day desert tour from Errachidia continues as you head toward Rissani to explore its traditional weekly market (if it falls on Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday). Along the way, we’ll pass through small Berber villages such as Touroug, Tinjdad, and Tinghir, stopping to admire the lush Todra Valley, lined with palm trees and vegetation.

Next, we visit the Todra Gorge at the base of the High Atlas Mountains, a popular spot for rock climbers. You’ll have free time to walk through its dramatic canyons. After a break for lunch, we continue to Boumalne Dades, arriving later in the afternoon in the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel or riad in the valley.

Day 3 : Dades valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben haddou – High atlas – Marrakech

On the final day of your 3-day tour from Errachidia to Marrakech, we begin our journey toward Marrakech via Kalaat M’Gouna, the famous Rose Valley, and the lush Skoura palm groves. Along the way, we stop to visit Kasbah Taourirte and, optionally, the film studios in Ouarzazate.

Next, we visit the iconic Ait Benhaddou, home to Morocco’s oldest kasbah and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986. This spectacular location has served as the backdrop for numerous films, including Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, and Sahara with Penélope Cruz. You’ll have free time here for lunch and to explore.

We then continue across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, Morocco’s highest road pass at 2,260 meters, offering breathtaking views of valleys, mountains, and traditional Berber villages. Arriving in Marrakech in the afternoon or evening, you’ll be transferred to your hotel, marking the end of your 3-day Errachidia to Marrakech tour.
